Our troop is located in Travelers Rest, SC. We are one of the largest and most active troops in the Blue Ridge Council. We meet most Monday nights 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at North Greenville Christian Fellowship. We do not meet on the Monday following a camping trip. So if you are new, please call ahead or check our calendar before you come.
Troop 282 has also recently started a Venturing Crew. Venturing is open to boys and girls, ages 14-20. Venturing involves high adventure activities.
Troop 282 supports brain tumor awareness.
Troop 282 has been featured in the newsletter of the Brain Tumor Awareness Organization (BTAO) for their efforts in raising awareness and funds in the area. Scouts may be eligible for the President's Volunteer Service Award for their efforts in any service activities through Scouting, school, or church.
